2001 Clare Valley Riesling
Pale, white gold colour. Strong aromas of spicy crab-apple and honeysuckle and a hint of frangipani. Shows lots of apple and spice on the palate with a long bone dry finish. Nice almost oily texture with a steely acid backbone. Good riesling matches with most dishes, but is particularly good with shellfish and with Asian food. The wine is drinking superbly now, but should age gracefully for 10 years plus under the right conditions.
