2004 Clare Valley Riesling
Our grower in the Armagh subregion of the Clare Valley, just north of the township of Clare, produced very good fruit for us again in 2004, enabling us to make another top notch Riesling.
Pale yellow with a green tinge. Blossom and spice on the nose. Typical lemon/lime palate, with hints of musk, talcum powder and some kiwi fruit. Fruity mid palate, builds in the mouth and closes with piercing acid. Should soften with a year in the bottle.
Riesling goes with almost any food, but we love it with Asian dishes, especially those that are seafood based eg yum salad or pla.
